Drawing on location, the focus was on capturing the vastness of space, It is rare to find such interior spaces within a built up urban environment such as London. I spent six hours drawing the piece which also depicts human interaction within the space, a vital element of the genius loci. In this case the ramp provokes all types of interaction from children chasing rolling coins, to wheelchairs speeding down faster than any other could run. This for me is the joy of drawing on location, capturing the many moments throughout my time spent drawing.
